Divya S Karthik - Co Founder
Divya, a co-founder of Sakya Foundation, is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 15 years of experience as a physiotherapist. About 8 years ago, she transitioned to the NGO sector, focusing on disabilities and working in rural, tribal, and underserved communities in India.
Through her hands-on work, Divya identified the need for healthcare professionals in rural and urban slum areas. She also recognized broader societal challenges, including limited access to education, livelihood opportunities, and a lack of awareness in communities. Despite existing government programs, Divya saw gaps in execution at the grassroots level. She combine her practical experience and academic background to co-found Sakya Foundation.

His journey led him to the world of rehabilitation therapy, opening doors beyond his village.
Grateful to his alma mater, Hussain's path took him across India, earning a degree and pursuing a master's in social work. Khaja Hussain, a living testament to the power of opportunity for individuals with disabilities, envisions a nation where everyone, like himself, has access and the freedom to dream big.
